MUSING MONDAYS: THE FIRST INSTALLMENT
MUSING MONDAYS: A roundup of things I've been thinking deeply about from the previous week, but not enough to write a dedicated blog post about it (yet).
"THE CUSTOMER IS NOT MORE EDUCATED THAN BEFORE, THE CUSTOMER HAS MORE INFORMATION THAN BEFORE."
This quote comes from the podcast episode, "Talking Menswear with Sam Lobban" from the StyleZeitgeist podcast hosted by Eugene Rabkin. Rabkin is definitely one of my favorite fashion critics, although I must admit to initially disliking him, but that opinion has now since changed. I really love this quote and have never thought about whether or not consumers actually take in the information that fashion brands give to them. More of that musing to come in the future...
SPARKLING WATER
I am utterly obsessed with sparkling water. Not La Croix, as sparkling water is one of the few products I find myself having no brand loyalty to, but sparkling water in general. I like to get plain sparkling water from Trader Joe's (79 cents for a liter).Occasionally, I do spice it up with a mango or peach flavor.
CHEEK-TO-CHEEK KISSES
There's something so fabulous and tender about greeting a person with a cheek-to-cheek kiss. It can be done from far away by swaying your heads while making a puckering noise. I really think we should bring this back.
THE CAPSULE WARDROBE
I'll be a dual-city dweller two months from now, and to make the traveling easier, I've been thinking about curating a capsule wardrobe for myself. Capsule wardrobes seem so limited, but I believe that my style has increasingly been becoming more streamlined and bordering towards office-core-- which is something I'm not ashamed about! Let's call it along the lines of chic office-core.
In the meantime, I have created a Pinterest board. Find some of my inspiration below:
